Financial Redress Pty Ltd (ACN: 083 043 010) specialises in recovering compensation from financial institutions for excessive charges or mis-selling. Financial Redress will initially focus on the exception fee issue. We are also actively monitoring other areas where we believe customers could be entitled to compensation from financial institutions.
The team at Financial Redress is led by James Middleweek. James, 44, was born in Manchester, UK. Having studied law at Bristol University, he practiced as a corporate lawyer at leading commercial law firm Nabarro Nathanson in London. James made a career change in 1992, becoming a stockbroking analyst at Smith New Court PLC, which in 1995 was taken over by Merrill Lynch International. James then spent 7 years at Collins Stewart PLC. In December 2003, James emigrated to Perth with his wife and two young boys. James worked as a stockbroking analyst with Cunningham Securities in Perth from late 2004 until early 2009, when he established the original Financial Redress.
James is assisted by Operations Manager, Steve Wilding. Steve, 26, graduated from Murdoch University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He has since worked in numerous organisations, most recently as office manager at Boundaries WA for two years. Steve Joined Financial Redress as its first recruit in March 2009.
Financial Redress recently joined forces with IMF (Australia) Ltd which is now it's parent company. IMF is a public company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX code: IMF). IMF holds an Australian Financial Services Licence, number 286906. IMF provides funding for significant and large-scale litigation.
